Police Scotland: Community Policing
Fortunately our areas are comparatively safe for residents, and low in terms of crimes committed. Naturally we all want to keep it that way and to work with the police to keep our communities safe. A key person in all of this is our community police officer who attends the Community Council on a regular basis, provides us with reports, and addresses questions and concerns.

Following the retirement of the Community Policeman PC John Paterson there is no officer specifically assigned to North Berwick. All urgent enquiries should be directed by phone to Police Scotland on 999 and non urgent ones to 101, and that cover is being provided by the Haddington police.
