Following the departure of PC Tracy Parker PC Colin Banks will be the Community Police Officer for the Community Council Area. At the last meeting the Chairman welcomed PC Colin Banks. PC Banks advised that he had been in the Police for 10 years and had been stationed in Tranent. He had lived locally and had a good knowledge of the area. He has been at North Berwick for 3 weeks and will be trying to get to know people in the local villages and hoped to attend local group meetings to gain a better understanding of the needs of the area. PC Banks stressed that he believed in proactive policing rather than reactive policing.
